NP3 and the Groninger Museum announce the YGA-4 artists

Thursday, March 26 at 11:15 h.
in the auditorium of the Groninger Museum.

Admission with a valid museum ticket.

A total of 83 artists and collectives, each in some way connected to Groningen, applied for Young Grunn Artist 4 (YGA-4). The overwhelming number of high-quality submissions made compiling a shortlist a great challenge.

YGA-4 shortlist:

Shervin Atighehchi | Ra’fat Ali | Irene de Boer | Aisha Hachem | Mylan Hoezen | Siavash Naghshbandi | Karina Puuffin | Stephanie Smit

Based on their documentation, motivation, and a personal meeting, NP3 and the Groninger Museum have selected three artists from the shortlist for the YGA-4 programme, which will start in April 2026 and run until April 2027.

The Gerrit van Houten Foundation financially supports this one-year talent development programme. At the end of the year, one of the artists will receive the Gerrit van Houten Prize of €5,000. The two further artists will each receive €2,500.

YGA-4

The Young Grunn Artist-programme is an extension to the selected artists’ existing professional practice. With the necessary professional support, NP3 and the Groninger Museum offer three artists or artist collectives a unique opportunity to take a next step in their development and unfolding, in the sharpening and deepening of their artistic practice.
