3rd April 14.00 – 17.00

Aisha returns to NP3 | RE:Search:Gallery with her fifth Weaving Lab, a space of collective weaving and embroidery centered on the theme of home.

Building on the previous sessions, participants will work side by side with Aisha. Both returning visitors and newcomers are welcome to continue their previous work or begin a new one.

“Lately I’ve been feeling a kind of panic about time.

Not the normal kind. Something heavy.
Like time is slipping somewhere I can’t reach it anymore.
Days move fast but nothing settles.
Everything feels unstable, like the ground is quietly shifting under us.

I keep thinking about how easy it has become to lose each other.

We scroll past wars, genocides, lives collapsing somewhere else,
and then we continue with our day.
But everything in that scares me.
Not just the violence, but how quickly we learn to live next to it.

Sometimes I wonder if we are slowly losing the ability to sit
with one another as humans.

Just to be in the same room.
Doing something simple with our hands.
Sharing time without rushing it.

Where I come from, these moments were normal. People gathered.
They talked, worked, stitched, cooked, argued, laughed.
Life happened in the same space.
Being together was not something you had to plan or justify.

Now it feels different. Quite impossible.

So maybe this weaving lab is my way of trying to bring that back,
even if only for a few hours. Not as a solution to anything.
Just as a small attempt to sit together again.
To remember that we are still here with each other.

Maybe that’s all it is.

Or maybe right now that’s already a lot”.
