Memoria de su movimiento is a multidisciplinary work combining text and music. The work
develops through a cyclical process: the text becomes the starting point for the music, which in turn inspires a new version of the text. The resulting zine explores the ways memories are triggered, stored and transformed over time.
The musical part of the work takes the form of a one-hour-long cassette containing an experimental composition that navigates through different layers of our memories. From noise to ambient, the music was composed and performed by the artists using synthesisers, loops, voice and recordings from other cassette tapes.
For the Suikerbrij, Daniela and Alan present their zine-cassette Memoria de su movimiento (Remembrance of Their Movement) with a listening session.
The zine will be available for visitors to read throughout the listening session. Visitors are invited to come and go freely, sit or lie down, and enjoy the music.
