In a closed loop system feedback can occur even if no input signal is present. This self oscillation can produce tones and even images. By using the Panasonic AVE5 video mixer in combination with a Sony dvd-recorder Hamsterwoede “plays” the feedback by using the built in effects of the AVE5 in this improvisation. All of this sometimes got underscored live with auditive beeps of feedback.
