NP3 en CBK Groningen selecteren 10 kunstenaars voor schetsopdracht MaRKeR!
Het CBK en NP3 organiseren in 2017 de nieuwe kunstmanifestatie MaRKeR in de binnenstad van Groningen.Tweeënveertig kunstenaars en -duo’s hebben gereageerd op de oproep en zich aangemeld om een kunstwerk te mogen realiseren. De kunstwerken gaan een relatie aan met de Grote Markt, het publiek en de verschillende functies van de binnenstad (ontmoeten, winkelen, wonen, werken, verblijven, etc). Het kunstwerk kan alle mogelijke vormen hebben, van toegepast tot een onderzoeksmatig karakter.
NP3 en het CBK hebben uit de aanmeldingen tien kunstenaars geselecteerd, die een schetsontwerp mogen maken voor een kunstwerk op en/of rond de Grote Markt:

De definitieve selectie van de vijf kunstenaars voor de kunstmanifestatie MaRKeR wordt medio mei bekend gemaakt.
Na de selectie vragen we de kunstenaars, zowel individueel als collectief, van begin tot eind mee te werken aan de realisatie van hun kunstwerk én actief deel te nemen aan het programma. Naast de inhoudelijke ontwikkeling en uitvoering van het kunstwerk gaat het ook om zakelijke kanten van de manifestatie zoals de financiering en communicatie. Het CBK en NP3 werken hierbij nauw samen met de kunstenaars en bieden daarbij de nodige inhoudelijke, zakelijke en promotionele ondersteuning.

NP3 and CBK Groningen announce selection of 10 artists for sketch plan MaRKeR!
CBK and NP3 organize in 2017 the new art manifestation MaRKeR in the city center of Groningen. Forty-two artists responded to the open call and signed up to realize an artpiece. This artwork has to establish a relationship the Grote Markt, the public and the various functions of the city (meeting, shopping, staying, living, working, etc). Any form can do, from an applied to a researching character.
NP3 and CBK selected ten artists out of the motivated applications, who will develop a sketch plan for an artwork on and/or around the Grote Markt:

The final selection of five artists for the art manifestation MaRKeR will be announced in the middle of May.
After selection we ask the artists, both individually and collectively, to cooperate from beginning till the end in the realization of their work and participate actively in the programme. In addition to the substantive development and execution of the work of art the business side of the event like finance and communication are also part of the programme. Hereby CBK and NP3 are working closely together with the artists and provide in the necessary substantive, corporate and promotional support.
